During your game drive, keep an eye out for the park’s iconic tree-climbing lions, often seen lounging on the branches of acacia trees – a behaviour rarely observed elsewhere. Lake Manyara is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to over 400 species including vibrant flocks of flamingos, pelicans, and storks. Other wildlife commonly spotted includes elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and playful troops of baboons, which are present in unusually large numbers.
