Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Seronera & Mara with Flight

Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Seronera & Mara with Flight

Day 1 / 24 July 2026: Tarangire National Park

Depart Arusha at approximately 0730 and travel to Tarangire National Park for your first game drives. Tarangire is known for its large elephant population, classic savannah landscapes, and the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife throughout the dry season.

The park is also notable for its ancient baobab trees and excellent birdlife, with a wide range of species recorded year-round.

In the late afternoon, transfer to Mawe's Baobab Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 / 25 July 2026: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart on a final game drive in Tarangire, taking advantage of the excellent morning light and active wildlife. With your guide's knowledge from the previous day, you can target specific sightings or revisit a prolific area. After your game drive, exit the park and begin the journey towards the highlands. The drive itself is spectacular, climbing from the dry savannah into the lush, misty highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Areaβ€”a dramatic change in climate and scenery.

In the late afternoon, transfer to Angata Ngorongoro Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 / 26 July 2026: Ngorongoro Crater

Depart early this morning for your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, carrying a packed breakfast to enjoy during your game drive. The crater floor offers one of the most concentrated wildlife experiences in Africa, with excellent chances of seeing lion, elephant, buffalo, zebra, and, with luck, the elusive black rhinoceros.

The Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as a natural amphitheatre, formed by the collapse of a volcanic caldera, and supports a remarkable diversity of wildlife within a relatively compact area.

In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and transfer to TWC Serengeti Kati Kati for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 / 27 July 2026: Serengeti National Park (Seronera Region)

After breakfast, depart for game drives in the Seronera region of the Serengeti. This area is famed for its year-round wildlife concentrations and is one of the best locations in East Africa for observing large predators in their natural environment.

During your game drives, you may encounter prides of lion, solitary leopards resting in acacia trees, and cheetahs scanning the plains, alongside large herds of herbivores.

In the late afternoon, continue to TWC Mara Kati Kati for your overnight stay.

Day 5 / 28 July 2026: Champagne Breakfast in the Bush

This morning, swap your vehicle for a basket. Collected in the cool pre-dawn, you'll witness the impressive inflation of your balloon before lifting off as the sun rises. For the next hour, experience the profound quiet of floating over one of Earth's last great wildernesses, the wind dictating your serene path. The pilot provides commentary, pointing out wildlife and crossing points far below. The adventure culminates in the classic safari tradition: a 'Out of Africa' style champagne breakfast set with linen and crystal in the middle of the plains. The rest of your day is dedicated to ground-based exploration, the memory of the flight colouring every subsequent sighting with wonder.

Your day of supreme luxury in the wild ends back at TWC Mara Kati Kati.

Day 6 / 29 July 2026: Northern Serengeti to Arusha

Your final safari morning offers one last opportunity to witness the drama of the Mara River. After an early breakfast, depart for a game drive focused on the crossing points. With the knowledge gained from previous days, your guide will position you for the best possible final spectacle. Return to for lunch and to pack. In the early afternoon, you'll be driven to Kogatende Airstrip, saying goodbye to the vast plains as you go. Your flight to Arusha offers a stunning aerial perspective of the landscape you've just explored.
