4 Day Safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Serengeti
This is not a specific itinerary - in terms of the accommodation being detailed - and is presented to provide a general idea of recommended movements on a 4 day schedule basis.
17th November: Depart Arusha and travel to Tarangire National Park for your first game drives. Tarangire is known for its large elephant population, classic savannah landscapes, and the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife throughout the dry season.
The park is also notable for its ancient baobab trees and excellent birdlife, with a wide range of species recorded year-round.
In the late afternoon, transfer to Mawe Tarangire Baobab Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.
18th November: Depart Tarangire and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with game viewing opportunities along the way. Rather than descending into the crater today, you will continue to the rim, where cooler temperatures and expansive views offer a dramatic contrast to the plains below.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Kuhama Tented Camp, positioned on or near the crater rim, allowing for an early descent the following morning.
19th November: Depart early this morning for your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, carrying a packed breakfast to enjoy during your game drive. The crater floor offers one of the most concentrated wildlife experiences in Africa, with excellent chances of seeing lion, elephant, buffalo, zebra, and, with luck, the elusive black rhinoceros.
The Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as a natural amphitheatre, formed by the collapse of a volcanic caldera, and supports a remarkable diversity of wildlife within a relatively compact area.
In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and transfer to Kenzan Central Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.
20th November: Very early this morning, depart for a hot air balloon safari in the Serengeti. The flight offers a unique aerial perspective of the plains and wildlife below, followed by a bush breakfast upon landing.
In the afternoon, return to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge or onward connection, depending on your travel arrangements.
